Over 30 days, starting on the 1st of September (spring in Australia) we are going to get busy spring cleaning every room of the house. You can do this challenge at any time but the live round will start on the 1st of September 2015.
I have designed the challenge to be achievable but also effective. Read on to find out how to get started and join in.

FAQ about the Spring Cleaning Challenge
How does the Spring Cleaning Challenge work?
The spring cleaning challenge will be running daily here on the blog as well as via email and in our Facebook group throughout September.
There will be a daily email during September as well as a range of posts that tackle different areas of the home or specific cleaning tasks. All posts will be linked up here and the larger spring cleaning challenges will appear in the usual blog feed. You will be able to come back and redo the challenge later but the live emails will only run during September at this stage.
How do I join?
Sign up for the Spring Cleaning newsletter at the bottom of this page and join the Facebook group. Then join along as the challenge progresses! Don’t worry if you miss the start, you can pick up easily at any point. Just jump in wherever you are at.
What does it cost?
The Spring Cleaning Challenge run on the blog and via email is totally FREE! I run it to help my readers organise their homes and keep them clean, and there is no cost involved (just like my 30 Day Declutter and 31 Days to a More Organised Life Challenges).
In addition to the FREE Spring Cleaning Challenge there is a Spring Cleaning printable pack full of printables and checklists to help you not just with spring cleaning but everyday cleaning routines and schedules. More details to come!
Do I need to do any preparation?
Ideally if you can, try to complete the 30 Day Declutter Challenge before starting the Spring Cleaning Challenge. The less clutter you have the easier it will be to get down to the nitty gritty cleaning. We will be starting off with some general cleaning on the first few days so your house is ready to go for some thorough spring cleaning!
How much time will I need each day to complete the Spring Cleaning Challenge?
Learning from reader’s experiences during the 30 Day Decluttering Challenge, I have made this challenge a little less labour intensive. There will be daily tasks Monday-Friday that require approximately 15 minutes plus one weekend task that requires 1-1.5 hours. Obviously the exact amount of time required will depend on how long it has been since your house last got a good thorough spring cleaning and the size of your home.
