Spring Cleaning Day 7: Bookcases and books
Welcome to week two. I forgot to make it clear on the last post that we’d take a break for the rest of the weekend. Sorry if you were confused! Next weekend there will be a bigger cleaning task to tackle so I’ll make sure I make it clearer for everyone 🙂
If you haven’t already, make sure you join our Facebook group. It is a lovely group of supportive women (there are a few men but it’s mostly us girls).
Today’s task is a mix of spring cleaning and decluttering. I want you to go through your bookcases and get rid of any books you no longer need to keep. If you’ve read it and it isn’t a classic you want to keep for your children or grandchildren then it can probably go. Same for reference books that you no longer reference (thanks Google). Once you’ve decluttered as much as possible, give all the books and shelves a good dust.
If you are keen to more thoroughly declutter your home then I’d recommend grabbing a copy of my book Clutter breeds chaos and tidy transforms as well as checking out the 30 Day Declutter Challenge. The challenge isn’t running “live” at the moment but you can still read all the posts 🙂
