Spring Cleaning Day 5/6: Picture frames & mirrors
Go run your finger along the top of any photo frames in your house… Did you just collect a heap of dust? Today’s task is to dust and wet wipe all picture frames (hanging and sitting on shelves etc) as well as any hanging mirrors. While you are at it, give the glass a spray and wipe.
Don’t use a duster for this as they just end up throwing the dust into the air, only to have it settle back down again in the same spot a few minutes later. You want to use a dusting mitt or cloth that will actually hold the dust and stop it flying around. ENJO dust gloves are perfect for this as they hold even the smallest pieces of dust and then you just shake it all outside (or chuck it in the wash). I’ve had my one for close to 10 years and it is still good!
We will be taking a break for a day tomorrow so take the chance to catch up and I’ll see you again in a couple of days.
How to clean glass and mirrors without getting streaks and smudges
- You’ll need some window cleaner spray (or vinegar will work if you don’t have window cleaner) and some scrunched up newspaper.
- Spray the glass with window cleaner (don’t go crazy, you don’t want it dripping everywhere!)
- In circular motions polish and dry with the newspaper.
- Tadah… clean, streak free mirrors and glass.
