Spring Cleaning Day 24: Grout
Today I have a super exciting task for you. Probably one of the most enjoyable of the challenge.
Ok, I lied. Today we are scrubbing grout. Yep, thrilling!
The thing about cleaning grout is that the more regularly you do it the easier it is to maintain. If it has been a way then it’s probably going to take a serious shock treatment to deal with it. I’m usually all for natural cleaning options and I would still suggest trying them first, but the reality is that if your grout is bad, you’re going to need some decent chemicals. Find the strongest stuff you can find, get some gloves and a mask and go to town. Leave it to work it’s magic and then scrub scrub scrub.
Vinegar can actually be very powerful at cleaning grout, and I’d give it a go first. The trick is that it needs to be left to soak. I usually soak cotton wool until it is dripping and lay it over the grout. Leave it over night and then scrub off the next day.
