I was gifted some of these products by SuperAmart & this post is part of the sponsored SuperAmart Outdoor Overhaul Challenge series.
Over the past couple of weeks we’ve been overhauling outdoor spaces as part of the Super Amart Outdoor Overhaul Challenge. I’m really excited to share with you my outdoor overhaul and how we transformed our outdoor areas to make the most of a small space.
We live in a duplex and have limited outdoor space. We’ve got a narrow deck that has been basically used for storage for the past two years, a smallish concrete area (that also houses our clothes line) and some grass. My challenge was to turn them into functional and practical areas for us to use.
My main criteria were:
- A seating area for the deck that doesn’t take up a lot of space.
- An outdoor seating area that also serves as a lounging area for the concrete space.
After several trips to Super Amart to check out what the options were I finally settled on this set up…
Seating for a small deck
I chose the Granada three piece setting (currently $399) because it could be stacked seamlessly away in a corner when not in use. It is really comfortable and has made the deck so useable for relaxing with a friend while watching the kids play in the yard.
I finished it off with a cute little artificial succulent… LOVE!
And when you’re finished with it, it stacks up like this…
So once I’d finished with the deck, it was time to set up my outdoor seating area…
Outdoor seating and lounging area
My main criteria here was to find a outdoor seating set that could also be used for lounging. We don’t have space for both so I chose this Harbour set that was also a bit “loungy” in feel. I love how the stools fit underneath so it is actually really compact when it’s all pushed together.
This is the view from above because the area is so small I couldn’t get the whole lounge in the photo!! How cool does the bamboo reflecting on the glass table top look.
I chose some cute vases and an artificial orchid for on top of the table to give it some character, and again I went with the bright red cushions that I’m totally in love with.
So because I couldn’t help myself I also bought a hanging chair. I’ve ALWAYS wanted one and when it was only $399 I just couldn’t resist…
