Put this slow cooker osso bucco on first thing in the morning and come home to a delicious and simple dinner!
Ingredients
- 1-1.5 kg Osso bucco veal
- 2 tablespoons oil
- 2 medium onions, thickly sliced
- 3 teaspoons crushed garlic
- 2 x 425g tins crushed tomato
- 1 / 2 cup dry white wine (optional)
- 1 cup beef stock
- 1 Bay leaf
- 1 tsp dried thyme
- 1 tsp dried oregano
- 1 tbs dried parsley
- Any vegetables on hand (carrot, potato, sweet potato, zucchini etc)
Instructions
- Brown veal in oil and set aside.
- Add onion and garlic to the same pan and cook for 2-3 minutes.
- Add all ingredients to slow cooker and set to high for 3-4 hours.
- If too wet, thickened with a flour/water paste.
Notes
Can be cooked in oven on 150 degrees for 2-3 hours as an alternative.
