Today’s habit is all about tidying as you go. As you leave a room, take something with you that belongs in another room that you are passing or heading to.
If you open your vanity as quickly as possible to shove something in before everything falls, out then it is time to get stuck into todays task!
If you have a household that contains a collection of little people (or even just 1!) you’ll understand how quickly washing can get out of hand. Even without children (or teenagers… lets not talk about teenagers and washing) keeping on top of the laundry goes a long way to keeping the house under control.
With two young boys and a pretty busy life I have to admit that I struggle to keep my car clear of random pieces of clothing, toys and rubbish. At times I think it would have been possible for me to live out of my car for several days… not exactly organised!

By the end of the day our living room often looks somewhat like a toy graveyard decorated with a few pieces of laundry and some left over dinner on the dining table.
Today’s habit… Clean up the dishes every night. Going to bed with an empty sink and a clean kitchen sets you up for a fresh start in the morning. It is easier to stay organised and on top of the mess if you have a blank slate each day.
It might not seem like a big thing but making your bed instantly neatens the room and sets the tone for the day. Today, make your bed as soon as you are up.
