The kitchen is one of the most used rooms in the house. It also gets some of the toughest treatment in terms of dirt and grime. It’s time to get that kitchen sparkling with this kitchen spring cleaning checklist.

Kitchen Spring Cleaning
Where to start
When cleaning, it’s always best to start at the top and work your way down. If you clean skirting boards before you’ve done the benches then they’ll end up dirty again!
Before you get into the deep cleaning, do the washing up, unload the dishwasher if you have one and clear the benches.
What you’ll need
Before you get started, you’ll need a few cleaning essentials and some other bits and pieces. As a guide, grab:
- Spray and wipe
- A collection of rags and cloths
- Window cleaner
- Cream cleanser (for stubborn stains)
- Gumption or similar (for baked on gunk)
- Paper towels
- Garbage bags
- Oven cleaner (or bicarb and vinegar for a more natural alternative)
- A cardboard box for things that are being donated
- Gloves
