Serves: 6-8
  • 800g chunk steak
  • 150g mushrooms
  • 1 sachet tomato paste
  • 3 tbs Worcestershire sauce
  • 100g sour cream
  • 2 tbs vegetable or beef stock paste or 2 cups liquid stock
  • Cooked beans & rice to serve
  1. Add all ingredients except sour cream, rice and beans to slow cooker. Stir well and cover with enough water so that all ingredients are just covered.
  2. Cook on low for 6-8hrs or high for 4hrs. Add a additional water if drying out.
  3. Cook rice and beans (microwave or stovetop).
  4. Just before serving stir through sour cream.
If you plan to freeze the extra it is best to freeze without the sour cream as it may curdle when reheated.
