Today is the final day of the 30 Day Declutter Challenge. I’m guessing for most of you it has been a big month! Just think of everything that is no longer filling your home. I’ve got the very last challenge today, plus some more exciting news about the eBook.
When was the last time you went through your medicine cabinet and gave it a good clear out? Today’s task is to pull out every medicine you own and bin anything that shouldn’t be there. Plus I’ve got some ideas for keeping it organised.
Today is a big one! I know that you could probably spend a day (or three) on this task, so set yourself a time limit and tackle just one area. It is so easy for emails and general computer file clutter build up.
Grab a bag, a bucket or a box and let’s clear out the cleaning cupboard. Sort everything into uses, grab containers to store cloths, place sprays on a self or hang them from a rack. Consolidate double ups into single containers (don’t mix different products though, I don’t want to be responsible for anyone blowing up their house!)
About six months ago, we got to the point where we were really running out of storage in our home. In particular our TV unit and loungeroom were overflowing with DVD’s, CD’s and all the kids toys. One big thing we did was transfer all our music onto iTunes and totally cut back on our DVD collection.
I have to admit that I am a bit stationery obsessed. I have been know to take a trip to Officeworks after the kids are in bed just to walk up and down the aisles of lovely stationery and Kikki K stores give me heart palpitations.
When was the last time you went through the freezer? Today’s task is to pull out all the old food and work out what is worth keeping.
Do you have a cupboard somewhere overflowing with bits of wrapping paper, tangled ribbon and cards that have lost their envelopes? Today it’s time to get real about what you really need to keep. Plus check out some of the cool ideas I found for storage.
Week three recap. Just one week to go! This weeks motto… It’s about progress not perfection.
Is your underwear drawer overflowing yet you never have any you want to wear? Today it is time to clear it out.
Over time we all accumulate random items of linen. Do you have twice as many pillows as beds? Mismatched sets or fitted sheets for double beds when all you have are singles and a queen? It’s time to get clearing out!
I’m sure you guessed it was coming and now it is here. We are moving into the wardrobe! We’ve got a few days on this little corner of the house so don’t get too overwhelmed.
When did you last go through your cupboard and clear out your pantry supplies? Are there soup mixes from 2005 or packets of pasta that expired last year? Today’s task is to clear the pantry.
Paper piling up? Today we are getting it under control and starting a simple filing system.
