Spring is here and it is time to declutter! I’ve got 7 tasks to help you with decluttering your home and your life.
Decluttering Day 2: Your Handbag
Ahh… the humble handbag. The place where half eaten muesli bars and random lego men go to die. If your handbag feels like you are carrying around a small child and it takes you 5 minutes of digging to find your mobile phone then today’s decluttering task is for you!
First, clear the dining table (we’ll get to that another day!) and tip out the contents of your bag onto it.
Sort through it, chucking rubbish, filing any papers, and putting away the random match box cars and barbie accessories that really don’t need to live there.
Next, work out what you need to keep in it and how that would work best. Do you need to sort things into compartments or some smaller bags? Perhaps a little medications and make up bag or a small pull string bag for kids stuff. Whatever you choose, make it manageable and quick to access what you need. Decide where everything will be kept and keep it there.
My essential handbag contents are:
- Lip balm
- A small pack of pencils and a note pad for the kids
- Nappy clutch (with nappies, wipes & nappy bags). I’m in LOVE with this one here.
What are your nappy bag essentials?
