With Christmas fast approaching we have been getting busy with Christmas crafts and cooking. For the 1st of December I decided it was the perfect time to share this cute Christmas cookies recipe.
These gorgeous Christmas cookies are so easy to make and would make a lovely little gift for teachers, neighbours or anyone else you want to say a little Merry Christmas too!
Christmas Cookies Recipe

Ingredients
- 125g softened butter
- ½ cup caster sugar
- 1 cup plain flour
- 1 cup self raising flour
- ½ teaspoon salt
- 1 egg
- 2-3 tablespoons of milk (as needed)
- Icing sugar and food colouring for decorations
Instructions
- Pre-heat oven to 180 degrees
- Mix sugar and butter until creamy and fluffy
- Add salt and egg and mix until combined
- Add flour ½ a cup at a time, mixing until completely combined
- If mixture is too dry and crumbly, add in a small amount of the milk
- Knead mixture until it is supple and holds together well
- Roll out to 5-10mm thick
- Use cookie cutters to cut shapes from dough and place on baking tray
- Bake for 8-10 minutes until slightly browned & allow to cool
- Decorate as desired
